The Monterrey Institute of Technology also known as Tec is a co-ed and multicampus university which is located in Monterrey, Mexico. It was established in 1943  and has now grown manifolds. It has 31 campuses in more than 24 cities.

The university has various departments and divisions. The Monterrey Institute of Technology was also the first one to divide academic years into semesters. Currently, both high school and undergrad calenders comprise of 2 semesters that start in Aug and ends in December and again from Jan to May. An optional summer session is also provided from June to July where students can take 2 courses.

The university has 31 campuses in 25 cities, and all campuses are independent but have the same national academic curriculum. The primary campus is established in Monterrey, the same place where national, System-wide rectorate is located. Most of the campuses deliver high-school and undergrad education. Some of them also offer post-graduate programs.

Notable alumni of the university include Cemex' CEO Lorenzo Zambrano, FEMSA's CEO José Antonio Fernández, Grupo Salinas' CEO Ricardo Salinas Pliego, Max Appedole film producer, activist and Casa Cuervo's CEO Juan Beckman.
