Osaka Institute of Technology also abbreviated as OIT is a Japanese private education establishment located in Osaka Prefecture. The university was established as Kansai Engineering Technical School in 1922 and adopted its present name in 1949. The university currently enrols over 7000 students.

Osaka Institute of Technology offers programs in Intellectual property, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Design, Electrical and Electronic Systems, Information Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics and Design, and Environmental Engineering at the undergraduate level.

Osaka Institute of Technology also comprises of a Graduate School offering Masters and Doctoral programs in Information Science and Technology, Robotics Design, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, intellectual Property, Urban Design Studies, and Environmental Studies.

Osaka Institute of Technology Campuses

Osaka Institute of Technology is based across three campuses in Osaka Prefecture, Japan out of which the Umeda Campus is the newest campus based in a 21 storey building in Osaka downtown. The Omiya Campus is located in Asahi-ku and Hirakata campus is located in Hirakata City. All the campuses offer state of the art facilities and student services.

Osaka Institute of Technology offers facilities such as classrooms, lecture halls, seminar rooms and auditoriums, engineering and research labs, and sports facilities in addition to well-stocked libraries with reading rooms. The university also offer student dormitories and halls of residence with an option of homestay with Japanese families.
