Reykjavik University History

Reykjavik University was established in the year 1998. It is a private university situated in Reykjavik in Iceland. It was started as the Commercial College of Iceland but later its name changed to Reykjavik University. Two of its initial departments were business and computer science.

Reykjavik University is divided into four academic schools for business, computer science, law and science and engineering. The university offers students with programs like, undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, research and foundation courses in variety of areas of study.

It is among the top 100 best young universities of the world. In 2016, 245 articles in conferences and 177 articles in scholarly journals were published by the university’s scientists.
