Saint Joseph University History
Saint Joseph University also known as Universite Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth or USJ is a private and catholic research university located in the city of Beirut in Lebanon. The university was established in 1875 by the Jesuits and presently comprises of 15,000 students and 2500 academic and administrative staff.

Saint Joseph University offers a number of programs in subjects like Economics, Business Administration and Management, Religious Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Sciences, Educational Sciences, Languages ??and Translation, Medicine, Pharmacy, Law and Political Science, Engineering, Dental Medicine, and Humanities.
Saint Joseph University is also home to number of research institutes such as Higher Institute of Religious Studies, Institute of Muslim-Christian Studies, Lebanese Institute for Educators, Institute of Physiotherapy, Higher Institute of Speech and Language Therapy, Institute of Occupational Therapy, Higher Institute of Public Health, Institute of Political Science, National Institute of Communication and Informatics, and Institute of Oriental Letters which caters to the research and academic community.
Saint Joseph University Campuses
Saint Joseph University has five campuses in Beirut and one international campus in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates which opened in 2008. Out of five campuses in Beirut, three are located in Damascus Street, one in Mar Roukouz, and one in Huvelin Street.
Saint Joseph University also comprises of three regional centres in Sidon, Zahle, and Tripoli. The university campuses offer a host of facilities to its students such as libraries, health services, classrooms, computer labs, and sports.

Saint Joseph University USP
Saint Joseph University is the only university in the Middle Eastern region to adhere to European ECTS system which allows high international mobility to its students. The university has also signed agreements with 70 academic institutions across the world such as the prestigious Georgetown University to facilitate exchange and study abroad opportunities.
Saint Joseph University is a somewhat selective institution with its acceptance rate ranging from 70 to 80%. The university also offers scholarships to local and international students to assist them with tuition fee and living costs.
