Shinshu University History

Shinshu University, is a public university located in Nagano, Japan. It was established in 1949 as a national university. It is the well-known and higher education institution in Japan.

Shinshu University,Takashi Nagai (3rd year at Interdisciplinary Graduate school of Science and Technology), Takayuki Sakimoto (2nd year at Graduate school of Science and Technology), and Professor Mizue Kayama (Faculty of Engineering) won second prize in the 2nd e-Learning Awards at the 16th European Conference on e-Learning.Professor of Institute of Agriculture (Director of Research Center for Fungal and Microbial Dynamism) Takeshi Shimosato has received a prestigious "Award for young agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Researchers 2017" from the 13th Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).

Shinshu University, ranked 1001+ by World University Rankings in 2019-2020. It also ranked 46th by Japan University Rankings in 2019. The University was ranked 201-250th in Asia University Rankings by (THE) World University Rankings in 2019.
