Tokyo Institute of Technology is a public institute which was established in 1881 in Tokyo, Japan. The institute has three campuses: Okayama campus Suzukakedai Campus and Tamachi Campus. Okayama is the main campus which is on the boundary of Meguro and Ota.

Tokyo Institute of Technology comprises of three undergraduate and six graduate schools. Undergraduate schools are School of Science, School of Engineering and School of Bioscience and Biotechnology whereas Graduate schools are Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Decision Science and Technology and Graduate School of Innovation Management.

Tokyo Institute of Technology has more than 10,000 students including 4,940 bachelors and 5,096 graduate students.  The university has more than 1,300 academic staff. 

Tokyo Institute of Technology is the principal institution for higher education in Japan which is mainly focused on science and technology.  The institute is known as one of the most high-status universities in Japan.
