University of Constantine the Philosopher is one of the prominent medium sized public university located in Nitra, Slovakia. The University was founded in the year 1959. The university was initially started by a Missionary Saint in order to induce higher education on a very small scale in Nitra with merely hundreds of students. The University derived its name from the saint Cyril. Slowly and gradually the School attained the status of the University. The University is research oriented University.
