University of Lahore History
The University of Lahore also known as UOL is a private educational institution located in Lahore, Pakistan. The university was established as a college in 1999 under the IBADAT Educational Trust. The university was conferred full degree awarding status in the year 2002, making it one of the largest universities in Pakistan.

The University of Lahore comprises of 11 academic faculties, 35 academic departments, 3 technology parks, and 2 research centers. The university offers programs in Optometry, Sports Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, English, Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Education to name a few.
The University of Lahore is also home to Lahore School of Accounting & Finance, Lahore Business School (LBS), Lahore School of Aviation, and Lahore School of Management offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The university is also home to QEC Learning Centre established for the professional development of the teaching faculty and staff.
University of Lahore Campuses
The University of Lahore is spread across 7 campuses in Pakistan. They are Main Campus, Defence Road Campus, City Campus, Islamabad Campus, Sargodha Campus, Pakpattan Campus, and Gujrat Campus. The university also runs an overseas centre in Uganda, Africa.
The University of Lahore comprises of 6 research centres on campus such as Center for Research in Molecular Medicine (CRIMM), Radiology Research Section (RRS), Agri-Bio Technology Park, Diagnostic Laboratory and Research Centre, Postgraduate Computing Research Lab, and Lahore Incubation Center. The university library has over 31000 books and various digital resources. The university also houses solar power generation plants and biogas plants to battle energy crises.

The University of Lahore is ranked 3rd in Pakistan and 240th internationally in UI Green Metric Ranking 2016 which is based on the evaluation of educational institution on Green Statistics, Energy and Climate Change, Waste management, Water usage, Transportation, and Education.
The University of Lahore is one of the few universities in Pakistan to be recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Bar Council, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Pakistan Nursing Council, and Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. The university ranks 6th in Pakistan for its infrastructure and quality of education.

The University of Lahore has a vibrant international student community from countries like Palestine, Sudan, Qatar, Yemen, Turkey, Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan, Nepal, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Jordan, UAE, and Uganda. The university has its own journals which are highly respected in the academic community in Pakistan. These journals include Pakistan Journal of Molecular Medicine, Journal of Media, Business & Social Sciences, and Asian Journal of Allied Health Sciences.
