University of Lleida History

University of Lleida has its roots from 1300 and emanates from Estudi General de Lleida. Initially the university was funded with the help of locals and church and now it has outgrown to one of the most prestigious universities of Spain. The university is well known for the different academic disciplines.

University of Lleida comprises of five different campuses namely Rectorate, Cappont, Health Sciences and the Campus Agrifood, Forestry and Veterinary, all scattered in the different parts of the city. All these campuses are furthermore fractionated into schools and departments. All the campuses present a state of art infrastructure and host a sport centre, health centre, ultra modern classrooms, library and auditorium. The library is well equipped with books, documents and latest publishings.
