University of the Philippines History
The University of the Philippines was established in the year of 1908, it is a state university system in the Philippines, and is the country's national university. The University began with the establishment of the Philippine Medical School and later incorporated into the University as the College of Medicine and Surgery in 1905 and started operating in the year of establishment.

University of the Philippines Campuses
The University of the Philippines is composed of eight constituent universities located in 15 campuses around the country. U.P. Diliman is the main campus of the university and offers the most number of courses. The University library system contains the largest collections of medical, agricultural, veterinary and animal science materials in the Philippines.

The University of the Philippines celebrated the achievements of outstanding students in the shortest program ever in the history of the Parangal sa Mag-aaral at the University Theater. It honored 3,748 University Scholars (US) in the undergraduate and graduate levels and students who distinguished themselves in various fields.
