VetAgro Sup History                                     

VetAgro Sup also known as National Institute of Higher Education and Research in Food, Animal Health, Agricultural Sciences and the Environment is a French higher education establishment located in Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand. The institution was established in 2010 after the merger of National School Veterinary Services in Lyon, National School of Agricultural Work Engineers of Clermont-Ferrand, and  National Veterinary School of Lyon and currently enrols over 1200 students.

VetAgro Sup Programs, Courses, and Schools

VetAgro Sup comprises of six departments offering a range of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. The departments include Department of Agriculture and Spaces, Pets, Recreation and Sports Clinic, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Public Health, Food Quality and Economy, Territories and Society, and Basic sciences.

VetAgro Sup offers programs in Organic Farming, Animal Production, Biodiversity and Ecology, Health Biology, Plant Biology, Cancerology, Drug Sciences, Public Policy, Microbiology, Sector Management, Health Issues and Policies, Agriculture, and Food and Environment to name a few.

VetAgro Sup Campuses

VetAgro Sup has an urban campus located in the city of Lyon in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The campus is expansive and houses a range of buildings with ultra modern facilities. Some of the facilities on offer include lecture theatres, animal hospitals and clinics, health and medical facilities, and student halls of residence.

VetAgro Sup also houses on the most comprehensive collection of books, journals, and periodicals on Veterinary Sciences in its university library in addition to a range of recreational and leisure services. The campus is also conveniently located to all the amenities and offers excellent public transport connections.

VetAgro Sup Achievements

VetAgro Sup is ranked 59th in France and 1009th globally by the CWUR Center for World University Rankings. The university is also ranked 971st globally for its Research Performance by Center for World University Rankings.

VetAgro Sup is also ranked 408th to study Environment and Ecology and 388th to study Plant and Animal Sciences by US News and World Report. The school is also ranked 70th in France and 532nd in Europe by US News and World Report.

VetAgro Sup USP

VetAgro Sup has received institutional accreditation from Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of France. The school is also a member of several professional bodies including Coimbra Group, Collège des Hautes Etudes Lyon Sciences, and Conference of Grandes Ecoles.

VetAgro Sup offers affordable tuition fee structures like most other French higher education establishments. The school also partners with a number of universities abroad including Tufts University, Universite de Montreal, University of Zurich, University College Dublin, and Freie Universitat Berlin.
