Yeditepe University History

Yeditepe University was established in the year 1996. It is a public and foundation university which is located in Istanbul in Turkey. It was started by Istanbul Education and Culture Foundation. The university is completely independent of the Turkish Government for finances or any other financial resource.

Yeditepe University Programs, Courses and Schools

Yeditepe University is categorised into eleven academic faculties, three graduate institutes, a vocational school and three schools. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in different disciplines of study. Other programs offered include research studies and student exchange program.

It is the home to more than 20,000 students and more than 1300 lecturers and professors. They are trained in their field of study. Students can also become the part of language course, virtual learning, continuing education, summer school and diploma. They focus on imparting practical guidance to the students.

Yeditepe University is built with modern architecture and highly secure campus facilities and security services. Students are offered with amenities like cafeterias, conference rooms, hospitals and polyclinics, recreational area, theatre, athletic courts, shopping centre, cinema complex, auditorium, gym, pool, labs, studios and green areas. Students can become the part of student clubs and associations. Student activities and events are organised throughout the year.

University library is a knowledge pool equipped with books, publications, study materials, archives, research guides, documents and periodicals. Databases, computer systems, tutorials, training rooms, printing service, study rooms, self renewal services, sitting area and help centre are available.

It comes among top 60 universities of the country and among top 15% universities of the world. According to Times Higher Education, it is among the top 600 universities in its impact ranking and among top 400 universities considered to be the emerging economies. It has won many awards as well.
