National Aviation University History                                        

National Aviation University also abbreviated as NAU is a Ukrainian higher education establishment located in Kiev. The university was established as Kyiv Aviation Institute in 1933 after the spilt of Mechanical Engineering Department from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The university currently enrols 25000 students.

National Aviation University comprises of 5 institutes, 10 faculties, 1 Aviation Academy, 3 Lyceums, 6 Colleges, and 1 Military Training Division. There are number of programs available at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

National Aviation University offers programs in Air Navigation, Aerospace, Electronics and Telecommunications, Architecture, Construction and Design, Environmental Safety, Linguistics, Social Communications, International Relations, Law, and Computer Engineering to name a few.

National Aviation University also runs its own newspaper called the ‘Aviator’ in addition to a yacht club. The university also offers a number of scholarships and grants to students to assist them with tuition fee and living costs as well.

National Aviation University also houses a number of research centers such as Research Institute of Technological Systems, State Research Institute of Aviation, and The Research Design Bureau that are at the forefront of aviation research and development projects in the country.
