The Bandung Institute of Technology is a state, co-educational research university which is established in Bandung, Indonesia. It was built in 1920, and it is one of the oldest technology-oriented university in the country.

ITB has 9 undergraduate study programs that have been internationally accredited from a USA based institution, Which is called the Accreditation Board for Engineering. The study programs include various courses in engineering include Electrical, Informatics, Chemical, Physics, Industrial, Management, Ocean, Petroleum, Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The ITB main campus, to the north of the downtown Bandung, and its other campuses, include a vast area. Students and faculty housing, and administrative headquarters are not on the main campus but are situated within reach. There are many facilities on the campus like book shops, a post office, a student cafeteria and a medical clinic. ITB has laboratories, workshops and studios in addition to lecture rooms. ITB also has an art gallery, sports facilities & student activities centre. There are 7 educational support facilities for research and academic activities.
The Bandung Institute of Technology USP and Achievements
ITB is considered one of the most esteemed universities in Indonesia. Sukarno, the 1st president of the Republic of Indonesia, earned his engineering degree in civil from ITB. B. J. Habibie, the 3rd president of Indonesia, also spent one year in the mechanical engineering department of ITB. The university has a membership of LAOTSE, an international network of top European and Asian Universities.

Various national, regional, and global reviews have been carried out to evaluate the quality of universities. ITB is one of the first choices of college applicants to enter higher education. In a 1991 survey, the top 200 high school students in the national entrance examination indicated ITB as their primary choice. The QS ranking institute, a United Kingdom-based University ranking survey, ranked ITB 80th in the field of Engineering and IT in the world.
