Chang Gung University History

Chang Gung University also known as CGU is a Taiwanese private university located in Taoyuan City, Guishan District. The university was established in 1987 as the Chang Gung Medical College which was changed to Chang Gung College of Medicine and Technology in 1993. The university adopted its present name in July 1997.

Chang Gung University offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across three colleges. The colleges include the College of Medicine, College of Management, and College of Engineering.

Chang Gung University ranks highly in its science and engineering programs and is highly prestigious in Taiwan. The university ranked 255th and 290th in the world for its Clinical Medicine and Electrical Engineering programs respectively.
