Chiba University History
Chiba University also known as Chibadai is a Japanese university based at Chiba in Chiba Prefecture. The university was established in 1949 after the merger of existing education institute in Chiba. Over the time the university merged with Chiba Medical University, Chiba Normal School, Tokyo Polytechnic High School, and Chiba Horticultural High School. The university was reincorporated in 2010 under the National University Corporation Act.

Chiba University has four campuses in Nishi-Chiba, Inohana, Matsudo, and Kashiwanoha. These include a fitness centre, gymnasium, sports grounds, halls of residence, cafeterias, restaurants serving buffet, soccer and rugby field, and campus shop to name a few.
