Chiba University History
Chiba University also known as Chibadai is a Japanese university based at Chiba in Chiba Prefecture. The university was established in 1949 after the merger of existing education institute in Chiba. Over the time the university merged with Chiba Medical University, Chiba Normal School, Tokyo Polytechnic High School, and Chiba Horticultural High School. The university was reincorporated in 2010 under the National University Corporation Act.

Chiba University offers various postgraduate programs through it Graduate School in subjects like Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Nursing, Social Sciences and Humanities, Science and Technology, Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Law.
Chiba University’s research courses include Horticultural Plant Production and Breeding, Environmental Science for Bio-production, Applied Biological Chemistry, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Science, Environment and Human Health Sciences, Food System Analysis, and Resource and Environmental Economics. The university also offers undergraduate degrees in various streams.
Chiba University Campuses
Chiba University has four campuses in Nishi-Chiba, Inohana, Matsudo, and Kashiwanoha. The campus comprises of all the faculties and administrative buildings in addition to a number of recreational, shopping, and leisure facilities for students. These include a fitness centre, gymnasium, sports grounds, halls of residence, cafeterias, restaurants serving buffet, soccer and rugby field, and campus shop to name a few.
Chiba University Library called the Academic Link Center offers dedicated study spaces, conference rooms, seminar rooms, content production rooms, learning spaces, reference services, and communication spaces in addition to numerous print and digital books, journals, collections, and periodicals.
