Francisco Morazan National Pedagogical University was established in the year 1956. It is a state university which is situated in Tegucigalpa in Honduras. It was started as the Francisco Morazan Superior School of Teachers and gained its present recognition in 1989. With time, other courses were developed in the curriculum.

Francisco Morazan National Pedagogical University comprises of two academic faculties and three institutes which offers multidisciplinary education. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other courses include research, study abroad, virtual learning and vocational training.
