Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad was established in the year 2008. It is a public and technical university which is situated in Telangana in India. It was founded by the ministry of human resource development of India. It was financially and technically supported by the Government of Japan. It is a research institute.

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad has 16 engineering and science departments along with departments in Liberal Arts and Design. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, master’s, professional, doctoral and research programs. Interdisciplinary courses are also offered to the students.

Most of the faculties hold doctoral and master’s degree in their field of study from the renowned universities. Student to faculty ratio is low. University is known for its research and publications and proximity to industrial hubs.

The campus has sustainable architecture with facilities like cafeteria, transportation, research cells, 110 labs, incubation centre, healthcare centre, green office, women’s cell, gymkhana and athletic grounds. Cultural fest is organised every year which include technical events, cultural events and performances by some renowned artists. Students clubs are also there for students.

University library is the digital library with the collection of books, e-books, journals, study material, research guides and publications. Access to databases, internet, computer systems, study rooms and digital media is available to students and faculties.

Indian Institute of Technology is a renowned university. It has achieved a ranking among top 200 universities in Asia by QS World University Rankings in 2019 and among 100 universities by QS BRICS in 2019. NIRF gave 8^th ranking to the university in 2019 in India. It also has a big name in patents and publications.

Scholarships and fellowships are awarded to the students every year by the university. Students have to meet certain eligibility criteria to achieve them.
