Jain University History

Jain University, is a state funded college situated in Bengaluru. It was set up in the year 1990. It is otherwise called Deemed to be college. Jain University began from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC), which was by the JGI GROUP in 1990. It was presented and considered to be college status in 2009.

Jain University, the Professor of the University, department of Microbiology received the Best Outstanding Research Award in 2017. In Tech Mahindra Contest, student department of Aerospace Engineering was awarded for Tech Mahindra Young Engineer Awards in 2014.

Jain University Scholarships

1. Jain University Ekalavaya

Jain University EKALAVYA scholarship is offered under the category of Sports Scholarship to Indian Nationals enrolled at the Jain University Based on the applicant’s performance, this scholarship can be renewed for up to three years.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines

To be eligible, an applicant

  • Should be an Indian Citizen.
  • Should have cleared the entrance examination with qualifying marks.
  • Should be 17 years – 21 years of age.

Note: After receiving the Scholarship Acceptance form, an applicant must accept or reject the scholarship within the deadline specified on the form. Any action taken post-deadline will not be considered and the scholarship stands unavailable.

How to Apply:

An applicant

  • Should collect the application form from the Jain Admissions Office
  • Should submit the completely filled application form before the deadline to the Jain Admissions Office

Note: No application will be accepted after the deadline

2. Jain University Dyumna

Jain University DYUMNA scholarship is offered under the category of Challenged Students Scholarship to Indian citizen enrolled at the Jain University It’s a non-transferable scholarship awarded on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To be eligible, an applicant
• Should be an Indian Citizen.
• Should have cleared the entrance examination with first class marks.
• Should have significant visual, auditory or other physical disability 
• Should provide documents supporting the claimed impairment.
Note: After receiving the Scholarship Acceptance form, an applicant must accept or reject the scholarship within the deadline specified on the form. Any action taken post deadline will not be considered and the scholarship stands unavailable.
