King Abdulaziz University History:
King Abdulaziz University is a public university which was established in the year 1967 and is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was established as a private university by a group of businessmen led by Muhammad Abu Bakr Bakhashab and including writer Hamza Bogary. The university was converted to a public university by a decision of the Council Ministers of Saudi Arabia under then-King Faisal's orders in 1974.

King Abdulaziz University Programs, Courses, and Schools:
King Abdulaziz University comprises nineteen faculties; Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Communication and Media, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Environmental Designs, Faculty of Home Economics, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Faculty of Tourism, and Faculty of Maritime Studies.
Most of the faculties and courses are accredited by different accreditation bodies such as; the faculty of Engineering has 12 accredited courses by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

King Abdulaziz University Campus:
King Abdulaziz University includes two separate campuses according to Islamic regulations one for females and another for males. Each campus is provided with all recreational, cultural, and athletic facilities, in addition to a big library equipped the most up to date technology to serve all the needs of students and the teaching staff.King Abdulaziz University comprises more than 20 research and development centers, a few of them are: Center of Excellence in Genomic Medicine Research, Research and Development Center, Water Research Center, King Fahd Center for Medical Research, Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies, and many more.

King Abdulaziz University Achievements:
King Abdulaziz University Organized the first Saudi International Trauma Week, this conference is a first in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and was being held at an international level in the field of trauma surgery. He pointed out that the conference includes several workshops and lectures and was made possible with the cooperation of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at the University.

King Abdulaziz University USP:
King Abdulaziz University provides scholarship opportunities to the students on the basis of academic excellence. The university also comprises two Hospitals; University dental hospital and the KAU Hospital. The King Abdulaziz University Hospital was officially inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Abdulaziz and facilitates the patients with 845 beds in addition to 157 beds dedicated for the critical care units, and general and specialized clinics that exceed two hundred clinics. The King Abdulaziz University also consists of various sports clubs, some of them are; Horsemanship Club, The University Scout and Ranger Club, Sons and daughters of university employees Club, School of Economics and Management Accounting Club, Hobby Center, with a number of student clubs of different tendencies and hobbies are; Club of scientific innovations, Computer Club, Plastic arts and Calligraphy Club, Optical imaging Club, Relations Club, Literary Club, Social Club, Hope Club for people with special needs, Theater Club, and the Folklore Club.
