King Saud University History:
King Saud University, also known as KSU is a public university which was established in the year 1957 and is located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The university was founded by King Saud bin Abdulaziz as Riyadh University, as the first university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The university was renamed King Saud University in 1982 and was created to meet the shortage of skilled workers in Saudi Arabia.

King Saud University comprises three faculties; Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Professional Studies. Among the Arab universities, the Medical program of King Saud University is highly regarded. The medium of teaching in most of the undergraduate programs is English and Arabic depending on the chosen major. Most of the courses and programs offered by King Saud University are tuition-free. The university consists of the following Colleges; Medical College, College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Architecture and Planning, 6 Science Colleges, 6 Health Colleges, 8 Humanities Colleges, and 2 Community Colleges.
King Saud University Campus:
King Saud University’s current main campus was designed by HOK Architects, headquartered in Missouri. The university’s mechanical and electrical systems were designed by Syska Hennessy Group, Inc. New York. The university is considered an elite historical Muslim university due to educational endowments to buildings and facilities, students, books, and other educational services and causes.
King Saud University comprises a total of eighteen libraries, serving as the main nerve of the academic and learning disciplines of the university. The central library occupies a central location among all the colleges and facilities, providing students, faculties, employees and other members of the community an easy access to its location and holdings.
King Saud University also consists of many research and development centres, some of them are; Center of Excellence for Research in Engineering Materials, Research Center for University Studies in Aleeshah, Research Center of the Science and Medical studies Departments, Research Center for University Studies in the library, and many more.
King Saud University Achievements:
King Saud University plays an important role in contributing towards the Riyadh Techno Valley and is building a partnership with the public and private sectors in the area of knowledge economics through it. King Saud University is pursuing to play a full part in this strategy through the development of a substantial science park, "Riyadh Techno Valley - King Saud University (RTV- KSU)", on its Riyadh campus.
