Kumamoto University was founded in 1925 and is located in Kyushu region of Japan. The university came into existence as a result of the merging of 5 higher education institutions.

The University provides Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral courses in departments of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology and Life Sciences.
Kumamoto University Campuses
The University has 4 campuses namely Kurokami North Campus, Kurokami South Campus, Honjo-kuhonji Campus, and Oe Campus. The former two are the main campuses of the University. The University offers a broad range of facilities within its campus for its students.
Kumamoto University USP
The University holds certain national cultural properties within its vicinity. The Fifth High School is now a memorial museum that is a major symbol of the University. A red gate is a dignified main gate at the North Campus.
