It was initiated with the efforts of Municipal Government for imparting higher education. The university has been renamed as Slaska Akademia Medyczna. The University offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dietetics, Dentistry, Public health and many more subjects.
