Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla History

The Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla also known as BUAP or Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla is a Mexican university located in the city of Puebla. The university was established as Colegio del Espiritu Santo in 1578 eventually gaining the university status in 1937 after being converted into a public college in 1825. The university has now grown to enroll over 65,000 students.
