Metropolitan University History

Metropolitan University is a private university located in Caracas, Venezuela. It was established within the year 1970 by a group of Entrepreneurs by Eugenio Mendoza Goiticoa within the terrains given by businessperson Pius Schlageter, father of South American country painter Eduardo Schlageter.

Metropolitan University Programs, Courses, and Schools

Metropolitan University offers 5 undergraduate degrees 2 postgraduate programs. The undergraduate programs are Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Business, and Administration. The postgraduate programs include Management, Economic and Social Studies. Engineering studies, Studies in Sciences and Humanities, Legal and Political Studies. The University has more than 5,000 students and 500 professors.

Metropolitan University Campuses

Metropolitan University, the first campus was settled on the recent building of the "Colegio America" within the district of San Bernardino and commenced categories on twenty-two October of that very same year. In 1976 the campus was affected to its current location on the gap territorial dominion of "Terrazasdel Ávila." The institution has large and comfortable facilities that facilitate the development of academic activities. Four modules of classrooms, a service building, the Corimón laboratory building, and the Eugenio Mendoza Goiticoa building are erected as part of the physical environment suitable for learning. The Center for Extension, Executive Development and Organizational Consultancy (CENDECO), the Pedro Grasses Library, the Arturo UslarPietri Center for Latin American Studies (CELAUP) and the auditoriums Manoa, Julio Sosa Rodríguez, Francesca are also located on the grounds of the Metropolitan University.

Metropolitan University, The rector of the Unimet, Benjamin Scharifker, was recognized with the Publons Peers Review Awards 2018 when he was included in the TOP 1% of those who contribute most to the evaluation of scientific works in the field of chemistry in the world. The Directorate of Research is a dependency of the Dean of Research and Academic Development whose mission is the planning, coordination, and execution of scientific and technological policies; promotion, financing and promotion of research and dissemination of scientific work.
