Miman Sinan Fine Arts University which is usually abbreviated to MSGSU is a Turkish state university dedicated to the higher education of fine arts. It was the first educational institution in fine arts and architecture by Turkish painter Osman Hamdi Bey. The institution was established on January 1, 1882. Since 1982 the institution has been providing four-year educational programs. At present, the University has an enrollment of over 6,900 students.
