National Chi Nan University History

National Chi Nan University was established in the year 1995. It is a public university which is situated in Nantou County in Taiwan. Its roots were kept in 1991 with the founding of National Chi Nan University Planning Committee. Its first graduate batch was registered in 1995 and first undergraduate batch was enrolled in 1996.

National Chi Nan University Programs, Courses and Schools

National Chi Nan University comprises of four colleges, two educational centres and eight research centres. It offers multidisciplinary courses in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other programs to look for include research, language course, vocational program and student exchange.

It is the home to more than 700 faculties who are skilled and trained in their area of study. It holds the strong alumni network. It is partner to various overseas and Chinese institutes. It provides quality education in research and innovation to the students. More of a practical guidance is given to students.

University library is the multi-storey infrastructure with digital facilities. It has books, study material, journals, research guides, documents and publications. Other services include computer systems, study rooms, discussion rooms, scanning and printing services, sitting areas and training rooms.

National Chi Nan University is the internationally acclaimed university. The Times Higher Education has ranked it at 63^rd in SDG category. UI GreenMetric World University Rankings has ranked it at 2^nd in Taiwan, 45^th in world and 8^th in Asia among most sustainable universities. Its rowing team has won eight medals in Hong Kong Rowing Championship. It is also no less in research as its research paper has become the cover story of a journal named Applied Sciences.

Students are assisted financially by the university in the form of scholarships and other funds. It covers maximum expenses of the students. They have to apply for these.
