National University of the Altiplano was established in the year 1856. It is a public university which is situated in Puno in Peru. It went through the series if name changes from University of Puno to National Technical University of Altiplano to National University of Altiplano to National University of the Altiplano of Puno.
National University of the Altiplano Programs, Courses and Schools
National University of the Altiplano is organised into 20 academic faculties and 37 professional schools. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Students can also opt for research, language courses, online courses, study abroad, vocational training and second specialisation courses.
Faculties recruited in the university hold specialisation in the field of study. Student to faculty ratio is low. University is known for its education in science, technology and applied arts.
