Okayama University History
The Okayama College was founded in the year 1870 by Okayama-Han and was named as Medical Training Place. The university was developed and changed into Okayama Medical College in the year 1922. But after World War II the college started merging with other national and public colleges and it became Okayama University under the New Education System of Japan.

The university is best for its research and education. It holds the top titles in Japan for its research programs like Translational Research Program, Clinical Study Core Hospital, and Research University. Okayama University is an Urban Campus, it also includes two more campuses Shikata and Misasa. The main campus is located at Tsushima-Naka in Okayama Prefecture. It’s one of Japan’s leading university with such a good research environment, library, computer rooms and many more. Okayama University Achievements
Okayama University is also the UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Development for the Regional Centers of Exercise which is the only center in Asia. On 26th December the university was honored with the special prize, the SDGs Partnership Award, presented to companies and organizations recognized as having performed meritorious service deserving special mention.
Okayama University USP
Okayama supports all the international students for the scholarship financially. Though it varies according to the eligibility and scholarship. It offers various scholarships study programs for the students but the students are selected based on the Scholarship Guidelines for those who are privately funded international students. A stipend is given to the applicant who holds academic record which is of 48,000 Yen, which is the best part for the students and competitive to get International students will be supported by the Centre for Global Partnerships and Education to make the right choices for their academic career at the University.
