The Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) is a private, non-profit university located in Puebla, Mexico. Founded on May 7, 1973, it is now a highly renowned university with a significant national and international presence with over 43 undergraduate programs, 34 master programs, 12 P.hD programs and 11 specializations.

UPAEP covers all levels of Mexico's education, as the system includes an elementary school, junior high school, and high school.

High School System: UPAEP has nine high schools around Puebla and the state of Tlaxcala.

Undergraduate: The UPAEP currently offers 43 different bachelor programs in the Economics and Administrative Sciences, Design, Health Sciences, Humanities, Engineering and Information Technologies areas.

Postgraduate: The academic offer of UPAEP also covers ongoing education, specialties, masters and doctoral degrees.

The university consists of an urban campus made up of several buildings spread throughout Puebla's Barrio de Santiago, as well as other premises in the metropolitan area and the municipality of Atlixco. The main campus has 103 labs and classrooms, 11 of which are fully intended for research.

In Mexico College Sports competitions, the UPAEP was also successful. The representative teams are called the Águilas UPAEP and are currently ranked 5th by the CONADEIP, an organization formed by Mexico's largest private higher learning institutions. One of its most important team is the Basketball team, which has been several times national champions.
