RUDN University History

RUDN University was established in the year 1960. It is a public university which is situated in Moscow in Russia. It is a research based university. It was founded as Patrice Lumumba University and was named as The People’s Friendship University of Russia or RUDN University in 1992. It was set up during cold war.

RUDN University Programs, Courses and Schools

RUDN University is categorised into six academic faculties, ten institutes and one academy which are further divided into several departments. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Students can also apply for research studies, student exchange program and state specialist degree.

Additional degree courses include medical doctor degree, D.Sc., summer school program, language training, short courses, pre-university education, additional education and virtual learning course. Universities also offer internship offers to the students in the renowned companies. It is the home to more than 20,000 students.

RUDN University Campuses

RUDN University is built with modern architecture and highly secure campus facilities and security services. Student life is made fun with facilities like eateries, conference rooms, culture centre, recreational area, academic units, athletic courts, theatre, healthcare centre, auditorium, gym, lecture halls and digital classrooms. Students can participate in regional, national and international events organised. Student media include journals, editorials and other publishing services.

University library is the scientific and digital unit equipped with books, publications, study materials, archives, research guides, documents and periodicals. Databases, computer systems, tutorials, training rooms, printing service, study rooms, self renewal services, sitting area and help centre are available.

RUDN University is an internationally acclaimed institution of Russia. Apart from top rankings, it has also won various accolades in different academic and sports competitions. It is the first university to perform on UNESCO stage in Paris. Its volleyball team won gold medal in international competition. It is ranked as the greenest university of Russia by UI Green Metric. The Times Higher Education, QS World University Rankings and Round University Rankings have given it top spot in global rankings.

Financial assistance in the form of scholarships, loans and grants are offered to students as well as research scholars. They have to meet the set criteria by the university to achieve these.
