Saga University History

Saga University was established in the year 1920. It is a public and national university which is situated in Saga City in Japan. It was originated as the Saga High School, then Saga Teacher’s School and Saga Youth Teacher’s School were opened which were named as the Saga University. Saga Medical School and Saga University were then merged to form today’s Saga University.

Saga University Programs, Courses and Schools

Saga University has got seven academic faculties along with nine graduate schools. It offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral courses in different departments of study. Students can also opt for language courses, research and innovation programs, e-learning, creative learning and study abroad programs.

Faculties of the university are qualified form the renowned universities. It has attached faculties to each department. They also provide students with internships and practical trainings through research centres.

Saga University Campuses

Saga University has got two campuses in Saga City. It has an urban campus and provides with the facilities like dining, innovation centre, student support centre, transportation, museum, auditorium, athletic grounds, healthcare centre, affiliated hospital and recreational area. Student clubs helps the students in exploration and students can participate in university events. University media has magazine and press.

University library is enriched with books, e-books, journals, documents, research papers, manuals and research guides. Databases, tutorials, lecture rooms, library support, computer systems and study areas are available.

Saga University comes under the top universities of the country. The World University Rankings has ranked it among the top 4000 universities of the world and among the top 100 universities of the country. It achieved the rank of 1298 by the World Universities Rankings. It is recognised for initiating many projects, initiatives and public relations magazine.

Students are offered with scholarships, financial aids and grants. These are government, private and university scholarships. Students have to apply for these.
