Saitama University History

Saitama University is a national university located in Sakura-Ku, Tokyo. It was established in the year 1949 by the merger of Urawa Higher School was established in 1921, Saitama Normal School was established in 1873 and Saitama Youth Normal School was established in 1922.

Saitama University Programs, Courses, and Schools

Saitama University, offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, master’s programs, doctorate programs, non-degree programs, and other academic programs are also involved. The University has 5 undergraduate schools and 3 graduate schools. The University has more than 1,000 academic staff including 7,406 undergraduate students and 994 postgraduate students.

Saitama University Campuses

Saitama University, the main campus is Okubo campus in Saitama university. The second campus is satellite campus and in satellite campus, two campus are involved i.e Omiya Sonic City College in Omiya Station, and another one in Tokyo Station College which is accessed from Tokyo Station.

Saitama University Achievements

Saitama University won the Japan Study Abroad Award “Destinations teachers/staff of Japanese language school in 2016. Dr. Osamu Ito (researcher), achieved “Convey System” of financial administration and its mechanism to the world.

Saitama University ranked 66th in National University Rankings and 897 in World University Rankings in 2016. The University ranked #801 in Global World Ranking and it also ranked #36 in Japan Universities. It was also ranked #221 in Asian University Rankings.
