Scientific University of the South History

Scientific University of the South was established in the year 1998. It is a private university which is situated in Lima in Peru. It was started by the support and guidance of Jose Carlos Dextre. It started with systems engineering and medicine department. At first, only 50 students were enrolled in the university.

Scientific University of the South Programs, Courses and Schools

Scientific University of the South comprises of five academic faculties which is further categorised into various departments according to the area of study offered. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other courses include research, study abroad program and language courses.

It is equipped with the knowledgeable faculties who are experienced in guiding the students for their life and educational goals. Students can also apply for specialisation courses, diploma and continuing education along with lifelong learning program. Medical residency and employment opportunities are also available.

Scientific University of the South occupies an area of 25 acres surrounded with greenery and eco-friendly environment. Campus security is the utmost priority with the facilities like cafeteria, cultural centre, auditorium, research hall, equestrian unit, transportation facilities, bicycle facilities, recreational area, sports courts, gym, gardens, athletic courts and fitness and healthcare centre. There are student societies for organising cultural and other events in the university.

University library has the collection of books, journals, repositories, periodicals, publications, newspapers, documents and departmental collections. Computer systems, virtual library, databases, e-resources, renewal services, study rooms, labs and training centres are accessible.
