Soongsil University History

Soongsil University also known as SSU is a private modern university located in the capital city of Seoul, South Korea. The university was established by William M. Baird, a Christian Missionary in year 1897 and has ever since grown to enroll over 16000 students.

Soongsil University is renowned for its IT and Economics programs and its Business School boasts of 12^th largest number of alumni holding CPAs. Moreover, the university ranks 2^nd in the country for its Computer Sciences Program after Seoul National University.

Soongsil University has very strict admission policies therefore it has a low acceptance rate. Only top 5 to 7% of Korean SAT takers are accepted by Soongsil in programs such as Business, IT, and Global Commerce.
