Sungkyunkwan University is a private research university which was established in the year 1398. The university is located in Seoul, South Korea and is one of the premier universities in the country that has been consistently maintaining its reputation internationally. The university has two campuses: Humanities and Social Sciences Campus and Natural Sciences Campus.
Sungkyunkwan University has sixteen Faculties and schools: College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy, College of Liberal Arts, College of Law, College of Social Sciences, College of Economics, School of Business, College of Education, School of Arts, College of Science, College of Software, College of Engineering, College of Information and Communication Engineering, School of Pharmacy, College of Sports Science, School of Medicine, and College of Biotechnology and Bioengineering. Sungkyunkwan University provides scholarship opportunities to the students on the basis of academic excellence. The university provides sports clubs to the students which include the following activities like baseball club, floorball club, tennis club, basketball club, soccer club, Volleyball club, and cricket club. Full-size soccer field, basketball playground, and baseball fields are located inside the campus. The university offers several mass media platforms to advance students’ learning, education and public opinion through prompt delivery of news and various constructive opinions and criticisms in and out of the university. The university also holds different kinds of University Festivals every year, performs Volunteering Activities for Rural Communities, provides the students with overseas experience, and celebrates the school anniversary festival every year.
