SupAgro History                                      

SupAgro also known as École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier and Montpellier SupAgro is a French higher education establishment located in Montpellier. The institution was established in 1848 and was subsequently merged with a number of smaller institutions over the last century to form present day institution.

SupAgro Programs, Courses, and Schools

SupAgro is a graduate only institution and offers a PhD program in addition to Advanced Master of Science Degree in Innovations and Policies for Sustainable Food Systems, Postgraduate Specialist Diploma in Wine Management, and a National Enology Diploma.

SupAgro also offers Masters programs in AgroDesign, Environmental Management, Agricultural Systems and Development, Plant Health, Mediterranean and Tropical Plant Studies, Soil Sciences, Livestock and Farming Systems, Wine Sciences, Sustainable Development in Agriculture, Biodiversity, Water and Society, Ecosystems, and Biology Agro-sciences to name a few.

SupAgro Campuses

SupAgro has an urban campus located in the city of Montpellier, France. The campus is home to a number of buildings located within the city in addition to teaching farms outside the city boundaries. The campus offers modern teaching facilities to students and houses a range of student support services.

SupAgro offers modern classrooms and lecture halls, research laboratories and farms, student halls of residence, and well-stocked libraries with dedicated reading and study spaces. The campus also offers sports facilities, health and fitness center, student recreational center, and a number of eating and dining options.

SupAgro is ranked 36th in the country and 670th globally by CWUR Center for World University Rankings. The university is also ranked 629th globally for its research performance by Center for World University Rankings. US News and World Report ranks the university 77th globally for Agricultural Sciences.

SupAgro is also ranked 68th to study Plant and Animal Sciences in the rankings of US News and World Report. It is also ranked 25th nationally, 298th in Europe, and 703rd globally in the Best Universities rankings by US News and World Report.

SupAgro USP

SupAgro has received institutional and specialised accreditation from various government bodies including Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry of France. The university has an average acceptance rate and the admissions are based on entrance examinations.

SupAgro also offers affordable tuition fee structure in addition to international exchange opportunities at partner institutions abroad. The university is also one of the founding members of Chaire UNESCO ALimentations du monde and Agropolis International.
