Toho University History                                           

Toho University also known as Toho Daigaku is a Japanese private university located in Ota, Tokyo. The university was established as Imperial Women’s Medical College in 1925 by Yutaka Nukada and Susumu Nukada. The university currently enrolls over 4500 students.

Toho University offers programs in Medicine and Medical Sciences, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Environmental Sciences at the Graduate level. The university also offers PhD programs in the same subjects.

Toho University has a low acceptance rate and it does offer some scholarships to students to assist them with tuition fee costs. The university is also at forefront of developing various medicines and vaccinations in Japan.
