University of Agder History

University of Agder was founded in 2007 and is located in Norway. The formation of the University was a result of the merger of Agder College and five other colleges that included a nursing school and a technical school.

University of Agder Programs, Courses, and Schools

University of Agder has multiple departments under six faculties namely Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences that holds the School of Business and Law, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Economics and Business Administration, Department of Development Studies, Department of Information Systems, Department of Political Science and Management, Department of Sociology, Social Work and Welfare Studies and Department of Working Life and Innovation. It also holds the Faculty of Fine Arts that comprises the Department of Music and Department of Visual and Dramatic Arts. The Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences holds the Department of Public Health, Sport and Nutrition, Department of Health and Nursing Science and the Department of Psychosocial Health. The Faculty of Humanities and Education comprises of Department of Foreign Languages and Translation, Department of Nordic and Media Studies, Department of Education and Department of Religion, Philosophy and History and lastly the Faculty of Engineering and Science which holds the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Department of Natural Sciences, Department of Engineering and the Department of ICT.

University of Agder Campuses

University of Agder has two campuses in Kristiansand and Grimstad.

University of Agder USP and Achievements

University of Agder comprises over 20 research centers and a full-fledged library that holds scientific papers, dissertations, and the thesis which have been worked and researched upon by the staff and students.
