University of Baghdad History

University of Baghdad, is a public university located in Iraq. It is the second largest universities in the Arab. It was established in the year 1957 by Royal decree.

University of Baghdad Programs, Courses and Schools

University of Baghdad, offers undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs, master’s programs and doctoral programs. It also has 24 colleges in different department, there are some college which is women’s college. The University has more than 5000 academic staff including 70,000 undergraduate students and 10,000 postgraduate students.

University of Baghdad Campuses

University of Baghdad, has 4 campuses. The first main campus is Al- Jadriya where 12 colleges are there. The second campus is Bab Al-Muadham campus where 9 colleges are there. The third campus is Al-Waziriya campus where 6 colleges are there in the campus. The fourth campus is Nahda Cross Road where 1 college are there in the campus.

University of Baghdad, The students of the department of architectural engineering at the college of engineering got the 1st and the 2nd places in the Ninth Student Engineering Forum sponsored by Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman. Ashraf Hameed who received the creativity necklace dedicated from His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research Prof. Dr. Qusai al-Suhail and presented on his behalf by the Deputy Minister Dr. FouadKassim Mohammed.

University of Baghdad, ranked 801-1000th by World University Rankings in 2019-2020. It also ranked 201-250th by Asia University Rankings in 2019-2020. The University of Baghdad ranked 79th in Scimago Institutions Rankings in 2019.
