University of Latvia History
The University of Latvia also known as LU or Latvijas Universitate is a public university located in the city of Riga in Latvia. The university was established in 1919 as Higher School of Latvia and adopted its present name in 1923. The university is one of the largest universities in the country and enrolls over 15,000 students.
