University of the Punjab History

University of the Punjab, is a public university located in Lahore, Pakistan. This university is the oldest public university in Pakistan. It was established in the year 1882 by British Government. It is the largest and oldest education institution in Pakistan. 

University of the Punjab Programs, Courses and Schools

University of the Punjab, offers undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs, master’s programs, diploma programs. It also has certification courses for the students. The University has 13 faculties, 10 constituent colleges, 73 department. The University has more than including 27,907 undergraduate students and postgraduate students. 

University of the Punjab Campuses

University of the Punjab, main campus is Allama Iqbal campus it is located in Lahore. The second campus is Quaid –i- Azam campus which is a new campus located to the south of Allama Iqbal campus. The third campus is Gujranwala campus wherein all the faculties are been taught. The fourth campus is Khanspur campus it is a summer campus located in the Himalayan range near Ayubia. The fifth campus Jhelum campus has recently opened commerce, sciences are been taught. 

University of the Punjab Achievements

University of the Punjab, Professor & Chairman, Department of History, University of the Punjab, Lahore,  has published numerous articles in national and international research journals he has published two books and his book Wavell and the Dying Days of the Raj, published by OUP in 2012 was awarded Best Book Publication Award for 2010-2011 on Sep 25, 2013 by HEC, Pakistan.

University of the Punjab, ranked 801-1000th by World University Rankings in 2019-2020. It also ranked 801-1000th by Global University Rankings. The University ranked 232nd to 19rd in Asia University Rankings.
