University of Valencia History
The University of Valencia also known as Universitat de Valencia or UV is a Spanish university located in the city of Valencia. The university was established in 1499 after Pope Innocent IV at the behest of James I the Conqueror authorized the establishment of Estudis Generalis, The university presently enrolls 65,000 students and employs over 3000 staff.

The university campus is close to the city centre and offers a vibrant student life.
