Vladimir State University History                                           

Vladimir State University also known as VSU is a Russian university based in Vladimir. The university was established as branch of Moscow Institute of Electronic Machines in 1956 and was renamed as Vladimir Polytechnic Institute in 1969. The institution was granted university status in year 1996.

Vladimir State University also comprises of a number of research institutes such as Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, Institute of Staff Development and Retraining, Corporate Institute, Preparatory Department, and Murom Institute of Vladimir State University.
