The W. P. Carey School of Business was founded in 1958 at Arizona State University. Originally known as the College of Business Administration, the school was renamed in 2003 in honor of real estate developer William Polk Carey, who donated $50 million to the school.
In the 1980s and 1990s, the school expanded its research and outreach efforts and began offering executive education programs.
