Alfaisal University History:
Alfaisal University is a private, nonprofit, research institute of higher education which was established in the year 2002 and is located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The university was founded by the King Faisal Foundation as a nonprofit student-centered university. The university has the support of national and international co-founders and distinguished Board Members that have frequently supported the university in its mission and vision to remain a student-centered institution committed to research.

Alfaisal University Programs, Courses, and Schools:
Alfaisal University comprises five Colleges; College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, and the College of General Studies. All these colleges consist of a wide range of departments of Graduate and Undergraduate programs; some of the programs are: Master of Biomedical Sciences, Master of Radiological and Imaging Sciences, Master of Genetic Counseling, MBA Finance, MBA Health Management, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Medicine, Pharm.D., and many more.

Alfaisal University also provides the students with Alfaisal University Preparatory Program (AUPP). This program is the dawn of a new path in the academic life of a student and a bridge to the future. AUPP is a centre of excellence in teaching sciences and English courses to the students. The courses that are being offered by the AUPP are; Physics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Mathematics & Computer Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Life Sciences, and Chemistry.

Alfaisal University Campuses:
Alfaisal University is situated in austere grounds of the late King Faisal Palace in the heart of Riyadh, accessible to all major highways. The University has a positive, fun, and student-friendly culture and a vibrant campus community. Everyone including the students, faculty, and administration really put in the effort to create a welcoming environment and provide the resources necessary to allow a new student to acclimate successfully into the campus life. The University’s majority of the classes have an impressively low student-teacher ratio of 18:1 which ensures that students get the absolute most out of their courses.

Alfaisal University comprises an E-Library that is accessed using highly developed computer labs furnished with the latest technological materials. The electronic resources in the library will continue to support the library with up-to-date references from the most professional societies & publishers. The E-Library provides the students with Books, Articles & Database, E-Journals, Subject Guides, Dictionaries, Encyclopedia & Handbooks, and many more.

Alfaisal University also consists of Centre for Research & Consultancy Studies. The Centre acts as an umbrella organization for channeling research, contract projects, and educational training as well as consulting studies between external organizations, both private and public, and Alfaisal faculty members. The Centre comprises three units; Alfaisal Statistical Consulting Unit, Product Design & Development Unit, and Alfaisal Competitiveness Consultancy Unit.

Alfaisal University Achievements:
Dr. Ahmed Abu-Zaid won the Third Prize for the Best Research Competition organized by the Scientific Chair of Prof. Abdullah Hussain Basalamah for Gynecological Cancer. Dr. Abu-Zaid’s research project was entitled ‘Incidence of Malignant Ovarian Germ Cell Tumours (MOGCTs) in Saudi Arabia’ published in Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Therapy Journal.
