Firat University History

Firat University is one of the esteemed public university located in Elazig, Turkey. The University was founded in the year 1975. The University formerly started as the Elazig Technical College and later got restructured to a more refined University and was known as Elazig State Academy of Engineering and Architecture. It is in the latter years the University got rename again as Firat University. The University is known for its exemplary efforts in Veterinary Sciences.

Firat University Courses and Schools

Firat University composed of twelve Schools, five vocational Schools, one main conservatory, thirteen faculties, and many departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Architecture, Arts, Fisheries, Administrative Sciences, Education, Theology, Hydraulics, Thermodynamics, Bio Informatics, Fluid Studies, Mechanical Engineering, Communication Sciences, Medicine, Veterinary Sciences, Politics, Technology, Law and many more.

The Student faculty ratio is 16:1. The University has international research affiliations with many countries all across the globe.
