Hallym University History
Hallym University is a private university which was founded in the year 1982 by Dr. Yoon Duck-Sun in the city of Chuncheon, Gangwon, South Korea. The university is counted amongst most distinguished universities in the country by the Ministry of Education, South Korea.

Hallym University offers undergraduate programs in Korean Language and Literature, History, Philosophy, Chinese and Japanese Studies, Psychology, Social Welfare, Politics, Law, Mathematics, Finance, International Studies, Nursing, Medical Sciences, and Engineering spread across seven colleges.
Hallym University’s graduate schools offer postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in English and English Literature, Political Science, Business Administration, Food Science and Nutrition, Arts, Physical Education, Computer and Electronic Engineering, Speech Pathology and Audiology, Molecular Medicine, and Financial Economics. The graduate school also serves as a research hub for wider academic community.
Hallym University Campuses
Hallym University campus is located in the city of Chuncheon in South Korea. The campus houses various recreational buildings and complexes for students such as gymnasium, tennis courts, sports complex and grounds, Hallym Recreation Centre, a golf range, and greenhouse.
Hallym University has 9 halls of residence for international students and on-campus Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital which offers medical assistance to students, staff, and city residents. The campus also houses a Business Incubation Centre, International Conference Hall, and Ilsong Art Hall.
Hallym University Achievements
Hallym University is one of the handful of universities in South Korea which receives financial support from the South Korean Ministry of Education for their specialization programs. The university has also been conferred the status of being one of the most distinguished universities in South Korea by the Education Ministry.
Hallym University is also been chosen for funding by the Brain Korea 21 Project. The university has established the Industry-University Cooperation Group which has further developed its research and development capacity as well as quality and output of research projects.
Hallym University USP
Hallym University’s International Exchange Program sponsors 50% of the student’s tuition fee to study in international institutions of high repute. The university also offers scholarship and grants to deserving students who are performance-based.
Hallym University also provides career counseling and support services through the Employment Support Centre. The university has limited places available due to its reputation and has a low acceptance rate as compared to other universities in South Korea.
