Klaipeda University History

Klaipeda University was established in the year 1991. It is a public university which is situated in Klaipeda in Lithuania. It was formed after the passage of the decree in the parliament. It started with three academic faculties. With time, other faculties and other part of the university campus were developed.

Klaipeda University Programs, Courses and Schools

Klaipeda University is organised into five academic faculties which is further categorised into multidisciplinary departments. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Students can also apply for research, language programs, diploma, study abroad program and continuing education.

It has recruited more than 500 faculties who are skilled and experienced in their area of study. It also offers virtual learning, foundation program, honorary degrees, certifications and non-degree programs. There are also research institutes, scientific centres and one institute for research trainings and studies.

Klaipeda University Campuses

Klaipeda University occupies an area of 58 acres with green campus and is home to some historic structures. Campus services include cafeteria, labs, technology centre, virtual learning centre, botanic garden, publishing house, career centre, sports units, fitness centre, athletic grounds and courts, auditorium, theatre, healthcare centre and recreational area. Excursions, workshops, symposiums, seminars and cultural events are organised by students and designated departments.

University library is equipped with books, journals, research guides, periodicals, repositories, publications, archives, catalogues and study material. Databases, e-resources, printing and scanning services, training and lecture rooms, labs, study rooms, tutorials and help desk are available.

It is recognised for its marine programs as no other university offers these programs in the country.
