Kuwait University also known as KU is a public university established in October 1966 in Kuwait City. The University has 39,000 undergraduate and 2,200 postgraduate students and the current president of the university is Prof. Hussain Al-Ansari.

Kuwait University has undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate as well as various research programs across 27 departments and centers ranging from Department of Administrative Training and Human Resource Development, Safety and Security Department, Legal Department, Centre of Evaluation and Measurement, Centre of Community Service and Continuing Education, Public Relations, and Media Management.
Kuwait University offers 70 undergraduate courses and 70 postgraduate courses which include Psychology, Medicine and Dentistry, Geography, Accounting and Finance, Architecture, Chemical Engineering, and Politics & International Studies, and Development Studies).

Kuwait University is spread over 380 acres of area and is also known as Green campus. The university has eye-catching architecture and comprises of seven campuses. The library contains approximately 322964 titles and 447629 volumes of Arabic and non-Arabic monographs, reference materials, and reports in different branches.
Kuwait University Student Activities and Athletic Facilities (SAAF) offer recreational athletic and aquatic facilities to its students. The campus is minutes away from downtown Kuwait City which offers easy access for students to the numerous shopping and leisure facilities the city has to offer

Kuwait University ranks 84th in University Impact Ranking 2019 and features in top 250 universities in Asia in a study conducted by Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings 2019. Graduates from Kuwait University have gone on to become politicians, philosophers, theologians, engineers, and leaders in the business world.
Kuwait University conducts and takes part in many research programs and other competitions and has stood ahead in all its competitions. Lately, the Research Sector has announced them as the winners of the Scientific Poster for the Academic year 2018-19.
